What do we do?
Our wellness efforts focus on practical ways to support the health and well-being of Jefferson students throughout the school day and at school events.
Create More Shade
We advocate for additional shade on campus to give students more comfortable, sun-protected spaces to play, gather, and spend time outdoors.
Promote Sun Safety
We work to make sun protection easier and more accessible for Jefferson students, including providing sunscreen and encouraging healthy sun-safety habits.
Support Healthy Food Choices
We encourage nutritious food and snack options at school events while finding ways to make healthy choices appealing and accessible to students and families.
Support Social & Emotional Well-Being
Wellness goes beyond physical health. We support efforts that help students feel connected, supported, included, and emotionally well at school.
Identify New Wellness Opportunities
We listen to families, students, and staff and look for new ways to improve wellness on campus, from small changes that make an immediate difference to larger, long-term projects.
